Small Engine Technician / Mechanic (ALL LEVELS) (Southwest Austin)
Compensation: HOURLY RATE BASED ON EXPERIENCE, PLUS BONUS

Overview: At Hill Country Outdoor Power, the mission of our Service Shop is to provide customers with high quality repair service through accurate and efficient diagnosis, warranty/non-warranty evaluation, repair, cleaning and documentation of work performed for every unit we service. In support of this mission, we are currently hiring for all levels of service technician, from entry-level to expert. The entry-level Technician I reports directly to the Operations Coordinator for mentorship/training. Service Technician I: Want a career as a Small Engine Technician but don�t have professional repair experience, your own set of tools, or the Service School Certifications you need? No problem, we're looking for highly motivated and mechanically capable individuals with an interest in becoming a certified service technician to join our team today as an entry-level technician! This is a challenging and engaging position that will allow you to learn-on-the-job. Begin by learning the basic tasks that keep a repair shop operating efficiently, continue by learning pre-repair and post-repair process steps in support of our experienced technicians, and eventually progress to performing basic repairs yourself. Our business is growing, and we will offer extensive training to career-focused individuals who want to grow with us!

Service Technician II: Already have 1-2 years of professional experience diagnosing and repairing 2-Cycle Handheld Equipment (like Grass Trimmers, Hedge Clippers, Edgers, Chainsaws, Blowers) and/or 4-Cycle Wheeled Equipment (like Walk-Behind Lawn Mowers, Lawn & Garden Tractors, Zero-Turn Mowers)? Great, we�re eager to grow our team of skilled 2-cycle and 4-cycle technicians. If you have your own tools and you can diagnose and repair equipment for all related failures with the engine, sub-assembly, drive train, deck assembly, cutting assembly as required, we�ve got a service bench available for you today!

Service Technician III: Already have 3+ years of professional experience diagnosing and repairing all types of outdoor power equipment? Excellent, we�re eager to welcome you to the team!

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be authorized to work in the USA

- Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner

- Technician II and III applicants must have your own tools

- Must be dependable, punctual, efficient, customer-focused and have a positive attitude

- Must be able to perform basic computer tasks, like reading repair diagrams and shop job notes

- Must be able to pass a general background check, have no felony convictions

- Must be physically able to perform tasks while standing and walking for the majority of the workday

- Must be physically able to move and lift 50lb. items to table height
